RealAudio: You must have the RealPlayer to hear our audio samples on the Internet. If you don't, click to download the RealPlayer.

(Note: There are two versions of the RealPlayer - a free version that offers standard performance, and an enhanced version, for a fee, that adds several features. The free version is all that is needed for our audio samples.)

RealAudio may not work with older versions of America Online. You may need to upgrade to a newer version of AOL. Also, in at least one case, a listener found that AOL's "Parental Controls" needed to be turned off in order to listen successfully.

Make sure you've installed the RealPlayer after it has been downloaded. When it has been successfully installed, the RealPlayer will play a welcome message.

Your machine must have a functioning sound card and speakers. If you are not hearing other sounds (such as the fanfare when Windows starts, or the "Welcome" greeting when connecting to AOL) then you may have a problem with your sound card or speakers.

RealAudio cannot pass through some corporate firewalls. If you are using a computer at the office, you may need to consult your network administrators.

If you receive an error message that says "Requested file not found. The link you followed may be outdated or inaccurate," it probably means that our server is temporarily down. We are usually able to restore the server quickly, although if the problem is more complex, the audio may be unavailable for several hours.

If you receive an error message that says "Server alert. Unable to fulfill request," it probably means that our audio server has reached capacity. Unlike over-the-air broadcasting, Real Audio can only support a limited number of simultaneous listeners. When a listener disconnects, that audio stream becomes available to someone else. Check back occasionally to see if a stream is available. Also, note that this capacity problem only applies to the samples in RealAudio format, as they reside on a shared system. The actual AgriVoice audio for broadcast purposes is delivered by a different method and is not subject to capacity issues.
